Here are the basic guidelines for tagging most items:

  • Hang your item on the hanger with the hook facing left, like a question mark (?)
  • If your item slips off, consider adding tape to the hanger and insert the pin through the tape. This works great on shorts, pants, and skirts.
  • Use 3×5 note cards or card stock to create your cards. Cut bigger cards in half.
  • Write your card in RED or BLACK only. Red is 50% -75% off. Black is no discount..
  • Don’t overprice. Consider selling at half price.
  • Consignor Number in the upper left hand corner of the card.
  • Size of your item in the upper right hand corner of the card.
  • Men’s, Women’s, Junior’s, Boy’s, or Girl’s written above the size.
  • In the middle of your card write a brief description. (Brand, Color, Type)
  • In the bottom right hand corner write the price of your item (whole dollars ONLY, no .50 or .25 increments)
  • Pin the card to the middle of your item.

Tagging Pants, Shorts, & Skirts

  • Create cards as above.
  • Pin the card to the top middle of the pants.
  • We recommend using pants hangers or tape tabs to keep your pants from sliding in on the hangers. Pants sell better if they are hung neatly on the hangers.

Tagging Toys, Books, Movies, & Games

  • Create the cards like above.
  • Use a hole punch to poke a hole in the card.
  • Use ribbon to tie the card to the item. If it can’t be tied use a large rubber band to wrap around the item and pin the card to the rubber band. This is useful for books and board games.
  • Write your consignor number on a sticker or masking tape and place this on the item as well. That way if the card is missing we will know who the item belongs to.
  • Items put in zip-lock bags need to be taped shut and the card pinned to the bag. Write your consignor number on the bag with a permanent marker.
  • Movies and video games need to be in like new condition. No scratches or chips.
  • Only Disney VHS tapes.
  • Board games need to have all the pieces and the box taped shut.
  • Puzzles that don’t have a box need to be put in a gallon zip-lock bag that is taped shut.

Tagging Shoes

  • Create the cards like above.
  • Use ribbon or zip tie to connect the shoes together and pin the card to the ribbon. If it can’t be tied together use a large rubber band to wrap around the shoes and pin the card to the rubber band.
  • Write your consignor number on a sticker or masking tape and place this on the bottom or inside of each shoe.
  • Shoes need to be in good condition. No holes. No smells. No stains.
